January 12, 2012

So I spent the day at home with Aria today since she was up all night sick, but luckily, she's been in a pretty good mood all day.

Since she's sick & I'm operating on about 20 minutes of sleep for the last 2 days & it's rainy outside, I decided a little Mickey Mouse Club House this afternoon wouldn't hurt...

So as the intro comes up & Mickey asks the audience if they want to come inside his club house, I hear a little voice through my half-asleep haze say the following:

"Yeah!! I want to go in your house! I saw you, Mickey! I saw you at the magic show, you were there!!" (Meaning Disney on Ice, which she keeps insisting is a magic show.)

On the way to school this morning, Aria decides she's in quite the mood to be barking orders:

After asking Daddy to sing, "Where Is Thumbkin?", I decide to join in chorus, when she barks out, "NO MOMMY!! It's Daddy now, wait your turn!"

As Daddy coughs, Aria again barks out, "Daddy, cover your mouth!". Which, of course, is shooting herself in the foot, since she never covers her mouth & coughs & sneezes all over us & we've asked her over & over to cover her mouth. HA! Evidence that she actually listens!! Action, however, is another tale...

This afternoon, her beloved Titi (uncle in Portguese) Eddy comes over. After riding on him like a horsey for a good 5 minutes (no easy feat with 32 lbs of toddler on your back), he lets her down & she proclaims, "Whew! I'm tired!"

January 10, 2012

Okay, so here goes. My husband dared me to keep a blog of daily quotes from my 2.5 year old because honestly, the stuff she comes out with is unreal. Her name is Aria & she's got quite the spunky personality. Let's see how many good ones I can catch (usually on the way home from daycare from the backseat in her rocketseat).

Today's quotes (and you have to picture these being said in a little toddler girl's high-pitched voice & 'accent'):

"I'm picking my nose. Now I eat it."

Dad: "Aria, do you want to go camping with us one day?"
Aria: "Yeah!! I want to see Chip & Dales."

"I want to see little Ine Dines!" (translated = Little Einsteins)
